What colors! What dancing! What fun! We had a little hint as to the scope of their party when we did their engagement portraits in Charlottesville a few months ago, but wow! There are so many images we’d love to share with you today from Cristina & Sid’s wedding out at picturesque Oxon Hill Manor we’ll have to create two posts for you. Check it out below, then cruise on over to part II.

Seen the highlights and want more? You can click here to see every moment from the wedding (plus their engagement session). The password is Cristina’s maiden name, and is case-sensitive. Enjoy!

Sid waits patiently while Cristina watches him, descending in the elevator prior to their first sight.

Giulia, their flower girl, started out strong but in the end needed an assist from daddy. Should’ve put a bowl of candy next to the vases of sand for enticement.

Seemingly every guest, include Sid’s father, takes a picture of him as Cristina walks down the aisle with her mom.

Cristina’s escorted toward Sid by her mother.

Dear c&s,

Relaxed joy. That’s how we would describe the two of you on your wedding day. It was clear the connection the two of  you were going to have when you first started dating and Cristina asked, “Do you like dancing?” and Sid enthusiastically answered yes, even though he had never danced before in his life. You sure made up for it during your first (and subsequent!) dances that evening, wowing the crowd with your moves. But even before that, we loved how you enlisted the help of one of your closest friends Andre to serve as officiant for your completely personalized sunset ceremony overlooking the Potomac river. The vows you wrote to each other were responsible for more than a few teary eyes in the audience and one of your photographers may have been similarity affected, as well. 😉 Having readings by each of your mothers was such a sweet touch, and of course your guests could barely contain themselves when it came time for your departure down the aisle  what with all the applause and bubble-blowing. Heck, some started the festivities with the bubble blowing early even before the ceremony, but maybe they were merely practicing.

As photographers, perhaps the most important gift we can receive from our clients is their trust. And we immediately felt like we had yours from the first time we met and it was then proven during your engagement session. It all felt like a collaborative process, working together to create amazing images and capture all the compelling moments from your wedding for you. Thank you for offering that trust, for having us there to be a part of your day. It means more than you know. Congratulations once again to you both!!

xoxoxo,
…a&b

Can’t wait to see more? Neither can we! Check back shortly to see their ceremony and of course their rockin’ reception.
